Light Blue 2026.2 release notes

Light Blue 2026.2 is a major update that adds new ways to respond immediately to enquiries, an undo send feature, a text message history feature, new ways of customising your proposals, and e-invoice export.

E-invoicing

You can now export e-invoices from Light Blue that comply with EN 16931 and can be used to comply with many EU countries’ e-invoicing requirements for B2B (business-to-business) and B2G (business-to-government) e-invoicing.

Respond immediately to enquiries

Light Blue’s contact forms can now automatically send a text message as well as an email as soon as a form is submitted. You might use the email for all the useful details, links and next steps, then send a short, friendly text to let them know you’ve replied and to look out for your email.

We’ve added the same options to our Zapier action for sending new enquiries to Light Blue, so you can automatically send an email, a text message, or both when leads arrive from third-party services such as Squarespace forms or Meta lead forms.

Undo send

The new “Undo Send” feature allows you to cancel sending an email or text message. This feature defaults to giving you 10 seconds to undo sending a message and you can turn this feature off or adjust the period in Preferences -> General -> Miscellaneous. “Undo Send” applies to emails and texts you send manually; scheduled messages and messages sent automatically by workflows aren’t delayed.

Text message history

The text message window now shows all of the text messages you’ve sent and received for the shoot or contact that you’re looking at, so you can see the full conversation at a glance.

Customising proposal packages

Your proposals can now include package-level overrides for the optional scheduling calendar, booking form, contract, and booking fee steps. For example, one package could go through to a weekday availability calendar with a cheaper session fee than another package that goes to a weekend availability calendar with a more expensive session fee.

Miscellaneous

  • Our macOS app now uses the Liquid Glass UI.
  • In the main window, the records list section headings that appear when there are results from more than one section are now folders that you can collapse or expand.
  • For countries that format addresses with the post code on the same line as the town/city, the fields in addresses in our desktop app now appear in that order.
  • Added %ShootAllContactFirstNames% and %ShootAllContactFullNames% mail-merge tags.
  • Fixed a bug where right-clicking on a template folder in the records list caused a database error.
  • Contract PDFs generated from a scheduling calendar now include the booking form.
  • If a client changes a contact’s role in a questionnaire, their role on the shoot is now updated as well as the contact job title field.
  • When a client clicks the “Select this package” button on a proposal, they’re now automatically scrolled down to the next section of the proposal.
  • When you’re viewing a text message that isn’t already linked to a record, if any contacts have that text message’s phone number there’s now a link to easily link the message to one of those contacts.
  • Incoming text messages can now be linked to more than one type of record.
  • Incoming text messages now display their linked records when you view them from an Activity panel.
  • When an incoming text message is received by one of our dedicated phone numbers, if the sending phone number is linked to more than one contact and all of those contacts are part of the same group, the message will be linked to the head of that group.
  • Unsent text messages now show their status as “Draft” instead of “Unsent”.
  • Added an “add workflow” button to the optional Dispatch Date field in the Sales section.
  • When changing an appointment’s type, the appointment description is only changed automatically if it was blank or matched the previous appointment type.
  • The “Check For Updates” command now works when you’re logged into a shared account.
  • The shoot and contact reference number preferences are now organised under their own headings.
  • Fixed a bug where right-clicking on a template folder in the records list caused a database error.
  • Fixed a bug where linking a record to an incoming text message could open a blank text message window on top of the current text message window.
  • Improved clarity of the choices in “Would you like to add the sender’s email address / phone number to this contact?” dialogs.
  • Tweaked the minimum size of the main window to avoid the quick search control from being hidden at the minimum size.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause some contacts’ email address or phone number from being included in a calendar feed.
