🎥 Invoices: publishing for online payment

Light Blue makes it really simple for your clients to pay you, because you can make your invoices available for payment online by card or PayPal.

👉 This help article shows you how to set up the different online payment options.

Making an invoice available online

New in Light Blue 2020.1: Light Blue automatically makes your invoices online when you create them, but you need to send your client a link to the invoice so that they can find it.

To do that as part of your invoicing process:

  1. Click the “Create Invoice” button on the Sale record in Light Blue.
  2. Either:
    1. Select either the “Email Link for Online Payment” and then click the “Create Email” button and send the email to your client.
    2. Or, select the “Copy Link for Online Payment” option and click the “Copy Link” button. You can then paste the URL into another app to send it to your client.

If a sale has already been invoiced, you can find the “Email Link for Online Payment” and “Copy Link for Online Payment” options by clicking the “Reprint Invoice” button. Alternatively, click the options menu that appears underneath the invoice number in Light Blue and you’ll find options to copy the URL for the invoice to the clipboard or open it in your web browser.

👉 And if you want to publish the invoice from the iOS app this article explains how.

Viewing and paying the invoice

If you or your client opens the link to the online invoice, you’ll see it in your customisable Light Blue client portal. There’s a handy button in here which makes it easy for your client to print a copy of the invoice for their records, along with buttons that allow your client to pay with the online payment options that you’ve set up.
