Publishing to an events calendar on your Mac
Although we already include a really powerful built-in calendar within Light Blue, some people prefer to organize things through their calendar in iCal.
First of all, you need to make a calendar for Light Blue to publish to. This needs to be a calendar dedicated to Light Blue, as we’ll delete all the events in it before we start publishing to it. The name of the calendar you publish to should also be different to the name of the Reminders calendar, if you’re publishing your tasks as well.
Once you’ve done that, go back to Light blue and go to the Preferences, then External Programs.
In there, you can turn on publishing to the calendar by simply selecting the calendar to which you want to publish. You can also choose options to set an alarm before the event.
Looking back at the Calendar you can see that the events I’ve got in Light Blue are now published, and that that includes contact details, schedules and requests for the shoot. Note that this publication is one-way only, so Light Blue remains the canonical source for your information. Any changes you make in the Calendar application won’t be pulled back into Light Blue.
