Light Blue 2026.1 prerelease testing

We’re currently prerelease testing Light Blue 2026.1, the next major update to Light Blue. Our initial testing has gone well, so we’re going to be adding more prerelease testers over the coming weeks; keep reading to learn how you can get early access.

Here are some of the biggest new features that our subscribers can look forward to!

Public proposals

Our proposals feature has been very popular, allowing you to create an interactive booking experience that makes it easier to upsell additional products and services while giving clients more flexibility in choosing what’s right for them.

Currently, proposals have to be sent to a client from an enquiry or confirmed shoot that’s already in Light Blue. Public proposals allow you embed your lovingly crafted proposal templates in your website or share them publicly anywhere you like. Proposals can include optional booking form, scheduling, contract signing, and booking fee steps, so public proposals make them an even more flexible tool for booking new work.

ProSelect integration

Light Blue can already import orders exported from popular in-person sales tools, but our new ProSelect integration improves on that by making it easy for you to create a ProSelect album from a shoot in Light Blue, or import orders directly from ProSelect without having to export them first. This new integration allows you to share information with ProSelect that helps you to make the most of its excellent in-person sales features, while keeping Light Blue at the centre of your studio management.

E-invoices

More countries are introducing regulations that require the use of electronic invoices in specific formats for B2B (i.e. business-to-business) invoicing. Our e-invoicing features will allow you to export electronic invoices from Light Blue that comply with these requirements.

Template folders

Light Blue has always included helpful template features, covering everything from emails and text messages through to highly customisable proposals. These templates save you time and can be used by Light Blue’s handy automation features, while also offering you the opportunity to add your own personalisation for individual clients or projects.

Some of you have built up large collections of templates, so our new template folders feature gives you a new way of organising your templates and making it easier to find the perfect starting point for your messages, contracts, proposals, or anything else that can be created from a template!
