Using appointments to keep track of client meetings
Appointments are used to keep track of meetings with your clients. For example, for a consultation, or a viewing session after a shoot.
You can add an appointment to any record in Light Blue by:
- Going to the “Activity” panel.
- Click the + button.
- Select “Add Appointment”.
- Enter a date, start time, and end time.
- Click the “Done” button to save it.
You can also add appointments via Light Blue’s calendar, by double-clicking in an empty slot and selecting “Create Appointment”.
You can set up appointment types in the Preferences window. These are helpful because they let you categorise your appointments: it colour codes them in the calendar and on the “Activity panel”, and also sets some defaults, like their duration and also any workflows based around them.
When you add a new appointment, its status defaults to “Confirmed”. If you’ve only pencilled in a meeting, set it’s status to “Unconfirmed”. If you or your client cancel a meeting, you can change its status to “Cancelled” to leave a record of it in Light Blue.
