Setting up integration between Light Blue and ShootProof
This tutorial is going to show you how to set up automatic importing of orders from ShootProof, using our online services.
When you’ve got it set up, whenever your clients place an order with ShootProof, the details about that order will be imported by Light Blue and shown in the Inbox.
From there, you can easily create a new Sale record (and marking it as paid and creating a Purchase record for the payment processing fee, if ShootProof took payment on your behalf).
It means less re-typing and more efficiency!
To start with, you need to go to our website, and view your account, then click Light Blue API and integrations.
First of all, if you’ve not got an API key set, you’ll need to generate one, by clicking the ‘Generate Key’ button.
When you’ve done that, you’ll see some information about ShootProof appear. To authorize Light Blue to talk to your ShootProof account, click the link.
Next, log in to ShootProof.
And then click the Authorize button.
That’s it! You’re then taken back to your Light Blue account, and it tells you that you’re authorized with ShootProof.
Let’s have a look at what happens when an order is placed.
Now that’s been submitted, I’m going to go back to Light Blue. The next time it syncs you’ll see that it comes into the Light Blue inbox.
I’ll now select it, and click Import Order.
There’s a confirmation dialog. Light Blue asks if I want to create the Sale record, and assign an invoice number, which I do, so I’ll leave that checked.
This order wasn’t paid online, so I’m going to leave the ‘Mark Sale as Paid’ box blank. If it had been paid online, then this box would automatically be checked.
That’s made me a Sale record, and pulled in all the information from the order. I’ve got the billing contact, the ShootProof References and a note saying that it was created from a ShootProof import
And then at the bottom here, I’ve got the items that were ordered, and everything’s totalled up.
