We've put together a little tour of Light Blue, to introduce you to how it can help save you time and increase your efficiency.

First steps and the Home screen

We've designed Light Blue to work just how you expect it to, so it's really easy to get started with.
The Home screen is a bit like your dashboard - it gives a snapshot of what's going on with your business at the moment.
Our online services are amazing, and let you sync your data between multiple computers. You don't need to be online all the time - work offline, then Light Blue will sync your data when you're connected. It's like magic, but it's real.

You can customize the date range for the 'Current events' list, so you can pull out just what you want to see. The colour-coded spots make it really easy to see what different types of shoots are coming up.
The task manager is really powerful, and lets you see what's coming up. You can categorise tasks and assign staff membrs to them, then view the outstanding tasks by category, staff member, linked record, date and so on, making it really easy to romp through your to-do list.

Shoots are the lifeblood of a photography business, and with Light Blue you can keep track of everything you need to be on top of things.
Lots of things within Light Blue are customizable, and you can do all that customization yourself. For example, you can add your own shoot types and colour code them yourself, add your own custom fields, and so on.

Light Blue can create attractive, standards-compliant web galleries (complete with watermarked images) at the click of a button, ready for you to upload to your own website. No more messing about with actions resizing everything!
Track your referral sources to drive reports on income, so you can really get a feel for where your money's coming from (and where it's going!).

Knowing who you're doing business with is vital to continued success. Each contact has their own record, so you can keep a note of everything you know about them.
On a Mac, you can publish information to the Contacts app, which in turn syncs with your iPhone - great for caller ID when a client phones you.

We automatically set a status for each of your contacts, based on whether they're existing customers, potential clients, or leads.
Keeping a record for each of your suppliers means that you can link your purchases to them, and see what you're spending with whom.

It's easy to make comprehensive quotes for your shoots, building up every aspect of the job.
You can have several different quotes per shoot, quoting for various different options. When one's accepted, the others are automatically marked as rejected, so you always know what's been agreed.

We've built attractive templates for printing quotes, and you can customize the font and change the header and footer graphics to personalize them to your business.
When emailing a contact from a Quote record, you can attach a PDF of the quote to the email - even on a PC, without the need for Acrobat.
Light Blue happily copes with all kinds of tax situations - be it no tax, single taxes (inclusive or exclusive) or multiple taxes (exclusive only) per quote item.

We've built a comprehensive invoicing system to handle everything you want to bill for.
Include numeric or percentage discounts, and exclude items (like shipping) from discounts.
Copy the high-res pictures from the relevant shoot folder to a folder on your desktop, making it really easy to send off your images for printing.

When emailing a contact from a Sale record, you can attach a PDF of the invoice to the email - even on a PC, without the need for Acrobat.

Sending invoices is only the start; you need to make sure your customers have paid you, too. Record payments on the Transactions screen so you know who's paid you, when, and for what.

We've built quick queries (see below) to pull out sales or purchases with outstanding amounts, so you can see what needs paying and when.

When a customer calls, you need to have their information at your fingertips; our querying tools make that a piece of cake.

Light Blue is desktop software, so it's always super speedy and you don't need to be online to use it.
With our onine services, when you go online, your changes are sent to our server and any other changes pulled down, synchronising your data across devices.

Our iPhone and iPad apps play nicely with our online services, so you'll be able to check and edit data on the move.
They're like magic - but they're real!

On a Mac, publish your events and appointments to the Calendar, tasks to Reminders and contacts to the Contacts app; on Mac and PC, publish events and appointments to Google Calendar.
On a Mac, import emails from Mail straight into Light Blue, stored against the relevant contact record.
Make your own RTF templates in Word or OpenOffice, then mail-merge straight to them - great for creating template letters.

Import contacts from spreadsheets or orders from ProSelect with just a few clicks.
Print address labels for contacts singly or in bulk.
Use our built-in reports to analyse your income and expenditure, split out by shoot type, enquiry source, etc.
Create your own views onto your data with our List View.
Predefine sets of tasks based around a key date, then add them all in one go to the Activity panel.
Export records to CSV to play with them in other programs.
