The new KitchenSync tabImagine the situation: you've had some clients round for a pre-shoot consultation, you've done the shoot, and you're having them back to show them your handiwork and convince them to part with their hard-earned cash. But, disaster! Your assistant, who makes the best coffee in the world, has gone to visit her mother, and you can't remember if your clients are the ones who are allergic to Oreos, which is what you usually serve. What are you to do in the face of this comestible catastrophe?

Thankfully, photographers the world over can now sleep peacefully in the knowledge that Light Blue Software has today released KitchenSync, the first plugin for Light Blue, their award-winning piece of business management software designed specifically for photographers. As you can see from the screenshot, it'll record all of the information necessary to make sure you can treat your customers like royalty.

But wait, there's more! We've teamed up with Gowk Enterprises to offer a truly amazing piece of kit. Simply install the KitchenSync Mix'n'Bake in your kitchen, connect it up to your wireless network, and Light Blue will instruct it to bake the right biscuits and prepare the drinks just as your customers like them.

Nice cup of tea and a biscuitBritish wedding photographer Walter Wall-Carpeting has been testing KitchenSync for us in his studio in the Yorkshire village of Wetwang. He's delighted with the results: "I have to say that I don't know how I lived without it. Before, I never knew whether to put the milk in before pouring the tea, or whether to use a pyramidal or circular teabag. I spent literally weeks fretting, to the detriment of my business. Now, because of Light Blue's KitchenSync, I've transformed my operations and will be hiring my fifth photographer next week. I'm amazed that all it took to grow my business so quickly was a better cup of tea and a nice little plate of biscuits."

Wye Danglelens, one of Walter's wedding clients, was equally effusive. "We were going to go with another photographer, whose style was much more what we were after, who was half the price, and who didn't have the wide range of skin diseases that Walter had. But we couldn't turn down another cup of that tea - it was just beautiful. We're actually thinking of getting divorced, then married again, just so we can have another viewing session - it was that good."

KitchenSync is a free plugin for Light Blue, available from our website from 1 April. The KitchenSync Mix'n'Bake has proved astonishingly popular amongst our pre-release testers, and the waiting list is now full; if you'd like to be put on the waiting list for the waiting list, just email admin@lightbluesoftware.com.
