iPhone OS 3.0 adds new features to Light Blue: Photo

iPhone OS 3.0 adds new features to Light Blue: PhotoLots of our users are iPhone owners and - if you're anything like us - you've been looking forward to the new iPhone OS 3.0 that was released on Wednesday. The new software adds many great new features to your iPhone or iPod Touch, but one new feature that hasn't been announced by Apple is going to benefit all of the Light Blue: Photo users who are using Mac OS X Leopard and the new iPhone OS 3.0.

Light Blue: Photo has always been able to publish your shoots to iCal, but in Light Blue: Photo v1.2 we vastly improved this feature, publishing more information to iCal (including contact details and your schedule) and adding a new 'auto-publish' feature, which sends details to iCal as soon as you entere them in Light Blue: Photo.

The big improvement in the Calendar app in iPhone OS 3.0 is that it automatically detects phone numbers, email addresses and street addresses. If you want to call your clients, email them or look up the address of a location on your iPhone, just go to the event in your calendar and click the relevant link. It's really easy to do and is another example of how Light Blue: Photo can make it easier to run your business, whether you're back at your studio or out on the road.

If you're running Light Blue: Photo on Windows or an older version of Mac OS X, there's no need to feel left out, because we are working hard to bring alternative ways of taking your shoot information out and about with you. We'll be announcing something exciting for you in the near future - watch this space or visit www.lightbluesoftware.com!
